I got feet!

I am just so thrilled that I finally got feet on my 3rd attempt!  I had almost given up on making macs till I saw Quizzine's Chocolate Macarons and was tempted to give it one more try.

I'm glad I did, cos I finally got feet feet feet!

In fact, I got more than feet...  I got nipples too!  LOL!!

Well, I still have a long way to go with macs.  But this is a very encouraging step for me.  For those of you who are still looking for a recipe that works for you, do give Quizzine's recipe a try.

And if you are wondering why I only have these pics of the half macs, it's because the big boy in house finished it all before I could take any photos. (I filled the macs with nutella; that's why they disappeared in a flash!)

ZY,
Don't give up. You've attempted so many other complex bakes with success. It's a matter of finding the right recipe.

Jasmine,
haha! There are no children in the house; only one very BIG one - the hubby.

Quizzine,
Thank you so so much for sharing the recipe. You are right, the thrill of seeing feet was amazing! I was jumping around the house shouting "I got feet! I got feet!".

LOL.. Congrats on the feet and err.. what to say for the nipples?? Anyway, happy for you.

Gongrats on the success! Do you think that we can try it without silpat?

Congrats too! I'm still struggling with this that I've almost given up! Nice macarons...I'm yearning for some!

Wendy,
Thanks :) The nips were an unexpected bonus. Haha.

Doris,
Without siplat, you most definitely will need to use parchment paper. Otherwise, I reckon it would be near impossible to peel the macs away from the pan.

Jane,
Don't give up. If you haven't tried this recipe, give it a shot! It's nice and chocolatey. With nutella in between, I'm sure your kids will love it.

j3ss,
Thanks to you too for inspiring me to keep trying. Next time, we can make macs together :)

Judy,
I too find macs rather sweet, but I like the texture. I'm going to see if it's possible to cut the sugar without affecting the texture too much.

Bake for a Queen,
Your macs turned out so nice! Must tell me how to get rid of those nippies... haha

Jean,
Glad I brought some cheer to your day :)

Wen,
Thanks :)

Cathy,
Thanks :) Mine are still a long way to your perfect macs!

Blessed Homemaker,
I've had super flat mac shells before. Other bloggers tell me that it's bcos the batter is too wet.

Alan,
Thanks! Yes, I'll certainly be making more :)

Jess,
Hello! Thanks for stopping by :)

Edith,
I never thought I would get this result either. This is one example of when perseverance pays off. You're such a fantastic baker; I'm sure if you try again with the right recipe, you'll get lovely macs too.
