Nice toy! Enjoy your new toy and look forward for more beautiful bakes coming up. Just a suggestion NEL, i think it will be very meaningful if the first bake is specially for your parent :)

Hi , What a great gift you have there! So are so so lucky!!! It's a wonderful machine that can save you lots of effort and time at the same time gives you the best results you want! Mine is the 5Q model and it's been with me for 10 years! Still works wondefully. The machine will never look old despite it's REALLY old! Have lots of fun playing with your new toy!

Bakertan,
Yes, I'm looking forward to making some bread with this. Hope to find time soon :)

DG,
Hello there! Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Hearty Bakes,
Once the mixer was set up and the attachments washed, I made the Oreo Cocoa Cheesecake for my family :) It creamed the cheese and eggs really nice and smooth!

Honey Boy,
I hope mine will last 10 years or more too :) You have a very nice blog. I'll be following :)

My dream mixer! I've always wanted to get one but finally decided not as I have limited counter top space.

Blessed Homemaker,
I used to think it would take up quite a bit of space too, but it really isn't that much larger than those 'entry-level' mixers. It just somehow looks a lot bigger. My kitchenAid now sits where my Philips mixer used to sit.
Hope you get your dream mixer some day soon. What colour would you pick?

It's either Grey or Metallic ;-)

Hopefully I can see more beautiful bakes.
