Fruit & Nut Loaf

Breads baked in the rice cooker turn out moist with a soft crust. And the best part of home-made breads: you can add whatever fruits and nuts you like and however much you like!

I didn't quite add as much raisins and nuts as I would have liked this time round; next time I'm definitely doubling the amount! (Recipe shown already has amounts doubled.)

enjoy!

Hi Jess,
Yes, normal rice cooker :) But the newer models, meaning those that close the lid tight, not the old ones with the loose fitting lid.

Some models have a specific BAKE function, but those that do not have it work just as well. Just press COOK as if you would cook your rice. It basically a closed heated pot, so it's like baking with steam, that's why you'll get a moist cake/bread.

I've also posted a sponge cake recipe for rice cooker. Click on "rice cooker" tag and you'll find it. Give it a try! And let us all know how it turns out for you.
